Our advice: if you're hesitating between two shades, base your choice on your skin tone (fair, medium, deep) and the desired intensity (nude, pink, red). All shades are adjustable thanks to the wear time, for a bespoke result.
Good to know: upon application, all shades first take on a metallic blue colour—this is normal! This temporary masque is removed after 15 to 30 seconds to reveal your true chosen shade.
HOW TO USE
- Cleanse and exfoliate your lips if necessary to remove any impurities.
- Shake the tube to activate the formula.
- Apply 1 to 2 coats of the Lip Stain Masque to your lips, following the natural contour. The metallic blue texture is normal: it's a temporary masque.
- Leave on for 15 to 30 seconds depending on the desired intensity.
- Remove the masque using a clean, damp cotton pad to reveal the colour!
To intensify the colour, you can repeat the process and/or adjust the wear time.
If you have it, you can also use the activator spray to remove the masque and thus intensify the colour and long-lasting wear. The spray is available to purchase individually or in kits (Peel & Reveal Kits).
You can finish your look by applying a Top Gloss, either ultra-glossy and transparent, or iridescent and sparkly. The lip inks won't fade or run if you layer a gloss or lip shine on top.
Use an oil-based or bi-phase makeup remover that removes waterproof makeup.

How long does it last?
Our VERODA Lip Stain can last for hours but is of course very dependent on what you eat, drink and do. For best results, we recommend prepping the lips by exfoliating and moisturizing before applying the lip masque on dry lips.
How many applications are in a tube?
A lip masque tube (4 ml / 0.135 fl.oz) contains enough product for 45-60 applications, depending on how many layers of product you apply each time.
Is the blue lip masque biodegradable?
It is absolutely biodegradable. The masque sets when it comes into contact with the activator because it is made up of a type of sugar based polymer extracted from a seaweed. The activator contains calcium salts, like sea water. These calcium ions interact with sections of the sugar polymer, linking parts of two different chains together like a net. This is what gives the film structure. Since the components are essentially gel from inside a seaweed - the film is biodegradable.
Is it hypoallergenic?
All VERODA products are responsibly formulated with safe ingredients but if you have a specific allergy or sensitivity, we recommend consulting your doctor or dermatologist and carrying out a patch test before your first use.
Is it safe for pregnant women?
Our VERODA Lip Stain meets the criteria for pregnancy-safe and has been clinically tested, but we still recommend sharing the ingredients we have listed on the website with your doctor - just for you to be 100% sure.
Is the squalene used in the lip stain derived from sharks?
Our Lip Stain is completely vegan; the squalane is plant-derived and shark products are not involved at all.
